You didn’t start your business to become its bottleneck.

The CEO Trap  ·  ~2 min

Alright, let’s start with a picture.

Imagine a small business. Growing. Busy. The kind everyone on the outside says is “doing so well.”

Now imagine the owner is also the one editing every video, answering every DM, updating every spreadsheet, building every landing page.

Here’s the question worth asking: is that a growing business, or is that one person doing the job of five?

Value isn’t measured by how busy you are. It’s measured by whether the business is actually built to run and grow the way it was designed to.

If you’re the one doing all the small tasks, chances are you’re not doing the one job only you can do, which is leading and growing the business.

Here’s the truth I want to bring you today: a stalled business is rarely a talent problem or a hustle problem. It’s a delegation problem.

I call it the Time, Money, Growth framework. It looks at three things: how much of your time is going to tasks that aren’t your zone of genius, how much that time is actually costing you in real dollars, and how much growth is stalling out because your attention is scattered across a hundred small things instead of the few that matter.

When those three are aligned, you make better decisions, your business runs smoother, and you stop the overflow of time, money, and momentum it needs to grow.

Let’s break down where you stand, right below this.

Introducing the Time, Money, Growth framework

Time

The hours going to tasks that aren’t your zone of genius.

Money

What those hours are actually costing you in real dollars.

Growth

The momentum stalling out because your attention is scattered.

“When those three are aligned, you make better decisions, your business runs smoother, and you stop the overflow of time, money, and momentum it needs to grow.”

Delegation Readiness Checklist

You now have the same framework I use with every business owner I work with. Go through the questions below and be honest. Anything less than a yes across the board, and you’ve found where you’re overflowing.
